I’m finally writing my second post this year. Over 2 weeks of January have passed and so far it has been lots of work.
As I said earlier this year, I tried going self-hosting. Not that I completely failed, but I somewhat didn’t succeed. I moved my blog, lost my theme and images, tried to fix it, had to deal with loads of technical problems and then realised – WHY am I doing all of this? I was quite happy with the way my blog already was. Why did I try to move it in the first place? And then there was the issue with a domain name. I could not move .blog for free as my new hosting plan offered, because it’s a special domain extension. I couldn’t get .com either – wellnessista.com does not exist, but the domain name is still not available. Of course, I could change the name to something completely different, but then it wouldn’t be the same blog. Wellnessista is not Wellnessista if it’s called something else. Yet I decided to proceed with the name change and just restart my blog from a clean page. As a result my blog went down and the new one wasn’t up.
And then it hit me…
I could keep Wellnessista.blog here on WordPress AND Get a new domain for the new website.
And that is how I started working on a new project. I will not tell you the name just yet, as it is still in the early stages of development, but I can say that it’s going to be another website about wellness and how to achieve it.
Here’s a little sneak peak for you:
I’m very excited about this project! I can’t really express how much. All I can say now that it’ll probably take another month before I launch it, and right now it is taking up the most of my time. Literally, I work on it between the sets when I work out in the evenings. I eat at my desk and I just hope that I won’t come to sleeping at my desk.
That is it for now. I promised I won’t keep you in the dark about the destiny of Wellnessista.
P.s. How cute is that 2018 desk calendar by Zoella? Even with the purple heart that my 6-year-old drew without asking me (oh boy, was I furious at first! But then realised – she is a kid, and this is just a calendar. And it’s only one months. I can live with that for one month lol). The calendar was sold in Boots. Don’t know if it’s still there or not, but I love it.
